Christine Hierl – Senior Consultant

Role

Christine is an accomplished executive leader specializing in sales leadership, leadership development, team building, succession planning, management development and managing in a multi -location and multi -brand environment. She has a proven track record of generating revenue growth and expanding account portfolio through uncompromising focus on customer needs and requirements. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in the for-profit education industry and her vision, strategy and operating plan to deliver short and long term goals has been of great value in driving enrollment.

Throughout her career, Christine was responsible for managing budgets in excess of $40 million in territories generating approximately $200 million in revenue. Finally, Christine has the ability to relate to individuals across organizational levels, backgrounds, personalities and skill sets.

Experience and Expertise

Prior to joining The Executive Edge®, Christine was the Vice President of Enrollment Management for Laureate Higher Education where she led enrollment at a conglomerate of diverse campuses across the United States. Her responsibilities also included start-ups. She built the enrollment management infrastructure at these locations which included developing formalized training programs, creating a separate sales division as well as managing international recruitment. One of her successes was building replicable processes nationwide.

The majority of Christine’s career was at DeVry University where she led the expansion of enrollment resulting in double digit growth and record profitability. Responsible for very large sales teams of recruitment professionals (150+) as well as administrative staff, she accomplished year-over-year enrollment increases within a highly competitive industry. In addition she developed strategic and tactical action plans that expanded growth.

Christine has spent her career developing human capital for various parts of an organization. She has done this through leadership training, succession planning and management development. Honors and Awards

At DeVry University, Christine received the company’s nationwide top performance honor, P.R.I.D.E. (Professional Recognition of Integrity Dedication and Excellence) for 12 years. P.R.I.D.E. recipients represent the top 10% of performance. More specifically, for 9 of those 12 years she earned the prestigious Diamond P.R.I.D.E which represents the top 2% of performance. In addition, she has published a children’s book which was nominated for a Midwest Book Association Award.

Christine is an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She participates in the Women’s Leadership Exchange and belongs to The Small Business Benefit Association as well as the National Association for Female Executives. In addition, she has served on numerous advisory boards in the higher education field and has done fundraising for various causes.

In her spare time, Christine is a certified fitness instructor. Living in downtown Chicago along with her husband Jim and their two sons, Christine enjoys travel, sports, reading as well as writing and publishing children’s literature.
